Implementing Managed IT Services

Reading time: 2 minutes

Acquinex Ltd is a specialist managing general agency focusing on providing comprehensive coverage to sellers, warrantors and buyers alike, using Warranty & Indemnity (“W&I”) insurance for small to mid-market deals.

Acquinex insures deals across Europe, with highly experienced underwriters in London, Frankfurt, Copenhagen and Warsaw. As a business, there is a huge reliance on communicative, collaborative and reliable IT throughout the regions.

Initial Engagement

Acquinex required a more structured and specialised IT approach to support their business moving forward. After several discovery and consultation sessions, the Pickl team were able to understand their existing IT environment; as a result, we were able to structure a bespoke IT solution with an emphasis on a cloud-based approach which required a smooth transition to our monthly support and subscription services.

Acquinex were looking for a partner who would:

  • Provide an IT managed service and support all systems, software and devices (24/7)
  • Increase IT user satisfaction across the organisation
  • Support future business growth and development
  • Provide a holistic approach to security
  • Support increased mobile working efforts
  • Take responsibility for IT transformation projects

We also recommended access to remote and on-site IT support for end users, with 24/7 network monitoring and management of systems and infrastructure to take care of essential maintenance. As well as this, we deployed essential anti-virus and email security solutions across all end user devices, filtering back into our ticketing system for monitoring, alerting and remediation.

Setting up quarterly business reviews, Pickl worked with Acquinex to provide an IT committee responsible for the IT strategy. This mandate allows the committee to effectively plan, manage and report on all aspects of IT within the business. Covering everything from strategy and design to project management, migration and training, the committee had regular meetings that ensured Acquinex’s objectives and goals were met.

Chris Jackson, Acquinex CEO, said: ‘Having worked with Matt and the team, we have always been impressed by their service level and product knowledge. We moved our contracts over to Pickl and the service levels and technical support are fantastic – we have 60+ users in 6 different countries and cannot recommend them enough.’
