Our client is a leading athlete management agency that is based in London and is managing talent across both the summer and winter Olympics and in paralympic sports.
To support continued growth, Sports Sphere was looking to appoint IT experts to support its evolving business needs in an increasingly competitive market. The client wanted to outsource their requirements to a trusted partner who would drive technology change and provide proactive support.
The team at Pickl implemented our fully managed service desk, while the professional service team completed an initial IT audit and risk analysis of the current infrastructure to better understand and identify areas of immediate concern for the business.
Working with the business during quarterly meetings, Pickl developed an effective IT strategy which reflected Sports Sphere’s long-term goals, focusing on cloud platforms for flexible working. Part of the strategy was to identify the best means of making the following changes:

- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environment
- Business productivity and collaboration
- Business continuity and disaster recovery

- 24/7/365 managed IT services
After three months of reporting via service desk trend analysis, we highlighted where the business struggled most with its IT. After a cloud readiness assessment was completed, data was migrated into the Microsoft 365 environment utilising SharePoint/Teams for collaboration, storage and sharing information seamlessly across the organisation. This created an environment for both Apple and Microsoft users without the risk of being outdated.
Training sessions were arranged and set up in order for a few users to be educated to ensure any users raised potential issues with the platform. Once agreed, the platform was rolled out to the entire business. To further strengthen Sports Sphere’s security posture, we deployed our Total Email Protection package, which provides an advanced yet affordable level of protection and backups for small to medium organisations.
